This web site is a work in progress, as I'm still keen to get a finalised, streamlined Linux operating system on the Flybook.
Interestingly enough, I found a press release on the internet that claims Dialogue are to eventually offer the Flybook with Linux pre-installed. Dialogue have apparently partnered with Lycoris, who are known for their Desktop/LX custom Linux. This is meant to be a beginner-friendly, desktop-based Linux system, which looks a bit like Windows XP and therefore has a nice, shallow learning curve. For the Flybook, their special Desktop/LX Tablet Edition version will be used.
I mailed Lycoris about the availability of this in November, and Joseph Cheek, Lycoris CEO, replied stating that they were still working on it, and it was not ready to distribute yet. The Lycoris online store still doesn't list the Tablet Edition yet, so either it is still being finished, or the Tablet Edition is only intended for sale to OEMs. Regardless, when it is complete, I'm sure it will be a usable and powerful operating system. What remains to be seen is whether Lycoris will GPL the touchscreen and Flybook controller drivers - they will have to build them, and no doubt Dialogue will provide Lycoris with the necessary specs to build the drivers. We will have to wait and see!

I am not particularly interested in comments about my choice of distribution, and I am aware that my web site design is very poor. I am not a web designer and don't have any powerful tools to make this look good :-)
The site is solely intended to show how I approached getting the Flybook to run Linux acceptably: I am not a Linux expert, but hopefully this will be of some use to other Flybook owners. I have presupposed a decent general IT knowledge in this web site. If it is too technical then you may be better off waiting for Lycoris' offering.
Other than that, let me know what you think!
